I'M UMA
I live and paint in Austin, Texas. I love bright colors and loose, expressive brushstrokes. Flowers are my muse. I love to paint them all, but if I had to choose... sunflowers, marigolds, foxglove & Icelandic poppies are my absolute favorites.

1. Start by arranging and lighting the flowers. Select a background.

2. Do a quick charcoal sketch to work out the composition.

3. Set a timer, paint with intention, keep it loose & have fun!
I feel this deep in my cells —
flowers are healers.
Like trees, their energy medicine
is lovely and immediate.
Being in the presence of a flower
is no small blessing.
It’s an invitation to open to Spirit everywhere.
A window to joy, divinity and delight!
