Three things I absolutely love:
- Oil pastels.
- Ultramarine blue.
- Flowers.
Firstly, oil pastels are so satisfying to use. They’re creamy and soft and buttery and tactile and messy. They are gorgeously opaque and highly saturated. I find them irresistible.
Second, ultramarine blue is an ancient and pure and magical color.
IT GLOWS.
In this series, I combined my love of these two (and flowers, of course) and had an absolute field day. I hope you enjoy these works as much as I do.
NOTE: these pieces look great in groupings of 2 or more.
